Mexico Part Dos

Written by Michelle Natalia

Hello Babes,

So one post on my Mexican adventure was never going to be enough. If you follow my Instagram you will know by now I am obsessed with all things Mexico! The landscapes the food the people make me fall in love with Mexico more and more every time I visit. I could see myself living there in the future for sure!

The second hotel we stood at was a quaint little beachy resort called Papaya Playa Project right next Azulik. The beach seemed to go on for days and the waitstaff at the beach resort were just amazing. We met the coolest guy at the beach club Christian, took care of us right away even before we could check into our room. He was literally the best ever everyday we went looking for Christian for tips outside of the resort. He has a warm soul the kind that is hard to find these days, he even took the photo of us on the swing! Thanks Christian if you ever read this you made our experience that much more at Papaya Playa Project.

We visited a mojito bar with live music and walked the strip which was not that crowded mainly diners and a few tourists and locals walking by. If you are looking for a party scene Tulum is not it unless you go to one of Papaya Playa Project’s full moon parties. We were lucky enough to catch one usually they are held once a month and cost about 25 to get in and feature known dj’s! The party went strong until 5am.

The breakfast buffets were great so much to choose from! The front desk was extremely helpful every time I ask. I was secretly hoping never to leave. Tulum is an enchanting place and beyond the resort you can ride bikes into town which have laid back restaurants and bars to just kick back and chill. One tip I will give you about Tulum come with your pesos already I learned this the hard way when we ran out of cash and the nearest atm was miles away. There are arms there but probably not at your hotel like you would think. Cell phone service is very spotty and I could only use wifi in the hotels common areas. Cab are pretty cheap and available in most populated areas. Do yourself a favor and try the street tacos at 12 am they are life changing! When I come back to Tulum I will most certainly come back to Papaya Playa Project!
