Firefly Festival

Written by Michelle Natalia

So if you have following my Instagram and Snap you may know what a fan of music I am and how I love to go concerts and live shows. I mean I love all types of music hip-hop, EDM, RnB, rock and pop so when a friend of my mentioned a music festival called Firefly I thought it would be so much fun to attend for the weekend! I mean everyone is going to music festivals these days there’s of course Coachella, Burning Man, EDC Vegas and New York, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and Governors Ball. Pretty much something for everyone there. Firefly seemed like the perfect festival for me to attend not too far from home, just a few hours away in Delaware and the bands and artists playing were some of my favorites. The 1975, A$ap Rocky, Kings of Leon, Deadmau5 just to name a few. The first show I seen for Two Door Club Cinema which was so much fun to rock out to.

Kings of Leon which is my friends all time favorite band so we tried our best to reach the front, we didn’t quite make it but we were close enough! They were amazing their performance really turned me into a fan. The lead singer’s voice sounds like velvet live!  Florence and the Machine took to the stage Saturdaynight and electrified the crowd her angelic speaking voice calmed the loudest crowd and entranced the audience when she sang! There was Major Lazer which closed out the last showon Sunday night with awesome dancers fire a neon light show and a ball inflated crowd surf. The setting a woodland oasis setting that reminded everyone of Avatar at night as the trees were lit up and purple and green. We actually camped on the grounds in an RV which was quite the experience. I drove an RV yes a 25 foot RV! I was scared to death at first but by the end of our trip on Monday I felt like a pro!So what blogger doesn’t love a music festival it’s almost like they go hand in hand right? The perfect time to throw on some extra accessories and wear your favorite boho or rock n roll  looks, I had so much fun planning my outfits for this trip, I mostly bought everything from Forever 21 and Lulus.com.

This look included a fun fringe black suede look skirt, LA Dreamer tank from Forever 21 (past season) a statement necklace from Happiness Boutique and sandals from Urban Outfitters ( past season) however you can find similar ones at Forever 21 this season. The sunglasses I found at Aldo’s and are currently my favs! I had fun with my over the top makeup done by  friend lashes and all with a few flash tattoos to boot! This look was super comfy for walking around all day in the heat and going in to A$ap Rocky! Just remember to remove your statement necklace before moshing 😉  So what will you wear this festival season? Try a little fringe, suede, chokers and comfy fun sandals or booties to stand out from the crowd!
