So New York summer is finally approaching! I discovered Central Park all over again the past two weeks, with beautiful lakes, bridges and all the flowers in bloom. I have been in New York for over 5 years and never have fully explored all the park has to offer. For this romantic location I guess the look I was going for was an easy windswept look in these wide leg palazzo trousers from Forever 21 with sexy side slits, the top was actually an old find from Free People. I was envisioning William Shakespeare’s Midsummer’s Night Dream when Hermia and her lover decide to flee by night into the woods surrounding Athens. Oh how romantic!
Central Park can bring the romantic side of any one I believe with lustrous trees, flowering bushes and the sunlight peeking on to the bodies of water, it is truly a place to experience. My sideswept hair and baroque style earrings were an ode to all things romantic. I truly believe you can create a moment never to forget with the right setting the right look and the right state of mind.
So how do you keep the romance alive in a world of texting, drive-thru and online ordering? How do you keep the butterflies coming? Send him or her a surprise sexy little photo with a I can not wait to see you later note, dedicate a song to them, make it a point to do something different every month, it could be a picnic in the park, a trip to the museum or travel to a place neither one of you have been to before.
If you live in the New York area Central Park is amazing to rekindle your inner romantic. There are boat rides, the Central Park Zoo, bike riding trails and endless scenic moments waiting for you. Hope you get to visit Central Park sometime in your life it is a gem in the middle of the crossroads of the world! Photos by @mountainbikekeith
