Color City

Hola Amors!

This time around it wasn’t a typical stroll in the city, we went one of the top spots in the Bronx for #graffiti, I have always been a huge fan of the art form with all the colors and grittiness of it. So what inspired my look? Color of course and this #Stevemadden sandals I fell in love with over the internet I found them strolling for a camera on Amazon of all places, I keep everything else in the look pretty toned down but with a pop of color on my clutch. Hope you guys enjoy the pics and all the color!

Step in Red!

Hey Loves!

This past weekend was a mixture of running errands and shopping for my upcoming trip to Europe! I really cannot wait for Monday, it can not get here soon enough. I love a pop of color on the shoes! I kept the palette pretty basic and opted for color on my heels and purse. The heels are from Zara, purse from Pacsun a steal at only $10! Pants from H&M and Shirt from Marshalls. I will definitely be packing the heels and bag for my trip.

Mango Salsa Topped Salmon

Mango Salsa

  • 1 ripe mango, peeled, pitted, and diced (about 1 1/2 cup)
  • 1/2 medium red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 small cucumber, peeled and diced (about 1 cup)
  • 3 Tbsp fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp fresh lime juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Chop all the ingredients and juice lime over mixture let it rest for one hour in chilling in the refrigerator.

Salmon

  • 2 Tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice (can sub rice vinegar)
  • 1-2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 large garlic clove, smashed and minced
  • 4 6-ounce salmon fillets
  • Vegetable oil, for greasing the broiler pan
  • 1 Mix the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, lime juice, sugar, and garlic together in a bowl. Taste and adjust to your taste (more lime juice if too sweet, more sugar if too acidic). Coat the salmon pieces in the marinade and chill for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  • 2 Set the rack in your broiler to about 6 inches underneath the heating element. Turn on the broiler.  Lightly grease a foil-lined broiling pan with vegetable oil. Arrange the salmon pieces skin side down (if your fillets still have skin on one side) on the pan and paint with a little more of the marinade. Broil until done, about 5-10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the salmon fillets and the heat of your broiler.

Concrete Bloom

Hey Amors!

This past Sunday was really lovely in NY! We have really been looking forward to warmer weather. I’ve been dying to wear these new yellow sandals I picked up from #justfab. I know theres alot of color here with the shoes and floral pants from #zara so I toned it down with a army green parka from AU California. I hope you guys love the colorful look! How are you adding color to your wardrobes this #spring? xxoo MN

Fifty Shades of Orange

Tropical breezes and sun kissed beaches is what I was dreaming of on this trip to the Mexican Rivera but not everyday was perfect weather and on those days I needed to make my own sunshine! The colors of Mexico were beautiful so my playsuit from Charlotte Russe, Sunnies from Forever 21 and Sandals from Wetseal filled the bill for a Sunny afternoon with a stroll on the beach.
